Lee Quiñones was born in Ponce De Leon, Puerto Rico in 1960 and raised in New York City. He is an inductee of the permanent collection at the Whitney Museum Of American Art (NYC). After starring in the 1981 Hip-Hop classic Wild Style, Lee went on to show his work at world-renowned venues including The New Museum Of Contemporary Art (NYC), Museum Of National Monuments (Paris, France), Museum of Modern Art, (NYC) and the Institute for North American Studies, (Barcelona, Spain).

Recently, Lee designed a shoe for Adidas’ Superstar 35th Anniversary (shoe #10), which was released worldwide in February 2005 and sold out on the first day. Additionally, he was a 2004 VH1 Hip-Hop Honors honoree and co-presenter with Debbie Harry of Blondie and Fab 5 Freddy. Lee is currently starring, along with Futura 2000, in a forthcoming documentary to be released sometime in 2007.

Lee currently lives and works in New York City, and has been featured in countless periodicals including The New York Times, Complex, Interview, Vibe, Wall Street Journal, Art In America, Art Forum, Village Voice, and Penthouse.
