is TireVan?

TireVan
is a new concept in tire retailing. You don’t
like going to the tire store, so we don’t
have any! You shop for tires on our website, or
by phone. We bring you your new tires, and put
them on your car at your home or workplace, whichever
you prefer. |
| How
does it work? |

| |
It’s
easy:
Step
1 – Purchase: you order tires on our
website or by phone.
Step
2 - Schedule: you tell us where (at home or
at work) and when you want your tires to be
installed, allowing for shipping time. The
tires are then shipped to us from our distribution
partner, TireRack. Once we receive the tires,
we will bring them to you at the appointed
time for installation.
Step
3– Delivery and Installation: the “TireVan”
is a step van (similar to a FedEx truck).
It is a self-contained mobile shop with its
own power and compressed air. Inside is a
complete set of state of the art mounting
and balancing equipment. We can work in your
driveway, or your company parking lot. We
remove one wheel at a time, and do all the
mounting/balancing work inside the van. This
process is repeated for each wheel. For four
tires, the whole process takes about 30 –
45 minutes. In many cases, you won’t
even need to move your car!

about the quality of the work? |

First,
we use the finest equipment, which delivers
unmatched quality in proper mounting and balancing
techniques. Our mounting machine is designed
to protect today's premium alloy wheels from
damage during changing, and our road force application
balancer provides the truest balancing method
available.

Secondly,
our employees pay is based on delivering quality
work and satisfied customers. After the work
is done, you can visit our website to tell us
how satisfied you are (we will even give you
a discount for your trouble). Our income incentive
plan requires driver/installers to maintain
a high quality rating.

| Will
I pay more? |

No. In most cases, you will pay less to get new
tires purchased, mounted and balanced. With TireVan,
you might pay a bit more for installation, but
most traditional retailers build more profit into
the margin on the tires, so the whole transaction
is more costly. Try asking your tire store how
much they will charge to install tires that you
bought elsewhere!

can you do more and charge less? |

It’s
simple: low overhead, combined with the power
of the internet. We don’t need an auto
shop, because we only do tires, so our equipment
(we use the finest) fits in a truck. We don’t
need a place to stock a bunch of new tires,
because you shop online from an unlimited selection.
So we operate at a fraction of the costs of
a traditional tire store, and you save money.

no tire expert; can you help me choose the right
tire? |

Of
course! If you shop by phone, our customer service
representative will help you. And through our
distribution partnership with TireRack, you will
also have access to extensive buying guide resources
on the web, as well as feedback from other people
who drive your car make and model. And remember,
we have no pressure to sell what’s “in
stock”, so we will not steer you toward
a tire that is not perfect for your needs. |

have premium tires and wheels; can you accommodate
me? |

Absolutely!
Our service is geared for people like you. We’ve
saved money on real estate, but we haven’t
skimped on our equipment. We use the same equipment
(Hunter) that is used by luxury car dealerships
as a requisite for honoring manufacturers’
warranties. Our tire changer is equipped with
special gripping technology to protect your wheels
from damage, and our balancer includes the patented
road force applicator, which is the truest way
to balance a tire. |
| What
areas do you serve? |

We are headquartered in Dulles, Virginia, and
we are currently serving the Northern Virginia
area. We will be expanding up and down the eastern
seaboard soon, and eventually will provide the
service on a nationwide basis. |
| Where
do I go if I have a problem with my new tires? |
|

We
have taken steps to insure the quality of our
work, so we are confident that you will be satisfied.
If
for any reason you are not satisfied, we will
resolve the problem for you in one of two ways:
1.
We will be happy to make a follow up appointment
to replace and/or remount the tires
2.
If you prefer, you can have the work done at
any tire store and we will pay for it.

| What
if I want my tires rotated? My shop does that for
free. |

We
are happy to rotate your tires for you. However,
since we must make a more significant time investment
than your local tire shop, we charge a fee of
$15 per tire. The good news is, you get the
same great TireVan convenience – no waiting,
no lost time. Most tires stores offer this service
for free because people don’t have time
to take advantage of it.

| Do
you provide discounts for large organizations? |
|

We
are happy to provide corporate discounts. In
fact, corporate accounts represent a significant
component of our business. Approximately 20%
of the population buys new tires for a passenger
car in any calendar year. This amounts to significant
loss of time and productivity at many companies.
With a TireVan discount program, you recover
that lost productivity, while providing a nice
perk for your employees.

two veteran business executives who, like you,
had one too many difficult and frustrating experiences
buying tires. They figured there had to be a
better way to get new tires.
